The doors of iconic Manchester club The Haçienda were only open for 15 years but the influence that it exerted on modern day club culture, along with it’s powerful visual identity, make it a brand that’s as relevant today as it was at it’s inception.

Along with the loyal following that remember The Haçienda from it’s days on Whitworth St West are a new generation attending Haçienda Classical gigs and rediscovering the music and spirit of the era.

Talisman Licensing, along with Peter Hook (Joy Division, New Order), the owner of The Haçienda brand, have joined together to celebrate The Haçienda and bring the brand to life beyond the club nights and Haçienda Classical gigs.

In the first deal to be announced, Talisman have teamed The Haçienda with award winning distiller, Manchester Gin to create an incredible small batch gin – Manchester Gin – FAC51 The Haçienda. The first two batches made available in stunning limited-edition bottles featuring FAC51 inspired artwork.

This perfect partnership celebrates the city’s rich cultural spirit and lasting impact on house and dance music around the world.  Manchester Gin master distillers Seb Heeley and Jen Wiggins worked with Joy Division and New Order icon Peter Hook to choose the key botanicals to give this gin its unique flavour – a refreshing zestiness that comes through from the lemon and lime peel, a nod to the vibrant ‘acid house’ movement.  This is combined with locally-foraged dandelion and burdock root, flavour notes that give Manchester Gin its signature smooth and balanced depth of flavour.The label Manchester Gin – FAC51 The Haçienda has been reimagined in the classic Haçienda colours and design style with the clear front label revealing the limited-edition inner label.  Both labels are striking and recognisable and have been assigned their own ‘HAÇ’ numbers used in place of batch numbers (any later designs will have new HAÇ numbers).  HAÇ13 uses the hallmark yellow and black stripes as the label backdrop and HAÇ15 uses the famous “Use Hearing Protection” poster image.
